Hands-On Focus: Practice the Skills Needed to Connect Concepts and Start Working
Our programs focus on clinical application to help you understand the concepts you need to be successful. Rather than just working out of a book or seeing someone demonstrate a skill, we offer students in every program a hands-on educational experience. Our students in Veterinary Technology and Veterinary Assisting work with real patients in a real clinical environment while they learn. Our Practice Management students work through projects that allow them to apply what they learn directly to their business through policies, marketing plans, and more.
What Questions Should I Ask When Picking a Veterinary Technology School?
What is your current institutional accreditation status and can you provide a link to that website displaying your status?
What is your AVMA accreditation status?
What will the total cost to me be, including tuition, fees, books, and materials?
What is your VTNE pass rate for the previous year?
Does your school allow currently employed veterinary professionals to test out of classes based on clinical work experience?
What is the difference between an online program and on-site program?
Does your school own the facility where it is located?
Does your school emulate contemporary Veterinary Practice - digital radiography, multiple exam rooms, LED lighting, heated surgery tables, etc?

I just have to say thank you to Apex for setting up this wonderful experience. I really didn't think I could enjoy myself as much as I did working with these beautiful creatures. Lynn and Dr. Romy were so welcoming and it only made the experience more memorable and meaningful. An The group of students that came was an enthusiastic group! Thank you Doctor Crane and Ria for coming along in support as we all handled cow feces, cow saliva, administered needed injections and took temperatures ..this opportunity to complete some of our AVMA tasks did not feel just like "checking things off". It was handled with such care that it truly showed the passion they have for their careers . Lynn handled those calves with compassion and gentleness as though they were her calves. Listening to Dr. Romy talk, shows how passionate she is about her job. She is so positive and uplifting and seeing how she talks to her clients, it's just a continual reminder of why we get into this business. I attended to complete my tasks..but left with so much more.
Thank you again!!

Apex has been a transformational experience for me. The instructors want you to succeed. Apex allowed me to be a self-learner and to make contributions I otherwise would not have made. I am grateful for a set of colleagues I want to keep close forever. If you have the chance to experience the plethora of opportunities and networking this school offers, do not pass it up.
